Dr. Sanjay Gupta's Unofficial Website

Let's see -- some stuff 'bout me. I was born Oct 23, 1969. I am about 5'8" or so. Some days, I feel a little taller than other days ;-) My parents were raised Hindu but they are pretty liberal with us kids. I don't follow a particular religion although I am pretty spiritual. I read about many different religions -- just finished reading a book of Buddhism. My brother is named Suneel and he is 10 years younger than me. He is a great kid and works at Accenture.

Sunshine: Dr. Sanjay Gupta is what I believe is the most intellectual. I watch him all the time for medical reports and he is so very professional. Sometimes that is annoying, cause I'd like to see him brake dance. Well not really, but he gets my vote for the most intellectual. He graduated valedictorian.

Sindhu: I second your thoughts sunshine again.

Wai Lin: hmmmm they're all pretty smart. Sanjay naturally gets top listing because he's a neurosurgeon and that's pretty hard to beat. (if you were talking about the girls rym brahimi is by far the smartest!)

Panda: I've got two I'd like to vote for, and they're both in that picture. Sanjay's definitely got book smarts going for him, but Wolf's got a better idea of what's going on in the world outside of medicine. I wouldn't mind having either of them on my Trivial Pursuit team though :-p

Leprauchn: Okay, now on this one, I will only choose between the "Wolfman" or "Good Doctor" since those are the pictures I see displayed, though I know it could be anyone. In this case, my vote would go to the "Brilliant minded, Soft and Kind Hearted, Sympathetic, Medically knowledged and of course not to forget Gorgeous looking", Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Yes, I know I probably sound like a trader on this one, but I am merely basing my thoughts on thw two pictures, and Wolf Blitzer may be a perfectly nice guy, but in this case, I have to think of if my life were on the line, I could be in a life/ death situation and had one more chance at living life completely, I would choose the Good Doctor because he could save my life, whereas I would die if I chose Wolf.

Jet: Well I have to give Sanjay the vote for smartest but I think Bill is pretty intellectual too.

Doraemon: I'll give my vote to Sanjay for this one!

Kim: I guess Dr. Sanjay Gupta is the wisest. I'm not sure, but he is a doctor.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta Web Site
A doctor on a mission to educate the general public about modern medicine. Read a report, about the reporter who became the story in the War with Iraq.

Ann: I caught my first weekend Housecalls show on CNN this morning with my precious looking absolutely awesome. It was so nice to see precious in some normal clothing, without a tie, and shirt slightly unbuttoned. If my online friend Guava could have seen him she would have goose bumps on her goose bumps, but putting that aside the most important thing was what the good doc was talking about. Dr. Gupta's show was on Autism. He stated some very interesting facts, such as babies born with autism have the smallest heads at birth and than their brains growth accelerates in the first few months in 90 % of the cases. Which I think that means that their brains grow too fast, during this early stage of life. He also talked about autistic savant behavior. That made me think of the movie Rainman. I once knew a 7 year old boy named Alex, who was autistic and they thought he had savant skills. His behavior was like this, he would walk around very misbalanced and awkwardly, while chanting numbers for no reason at all. Alex was an interesting case, he hardly had much control over his arms, legs or body movements, but he loved to chant numbers. I think part of it might have been, that his mother wanted to believe her child had special savant skills and she encouraged him to speak numbers. I thought this was good, but I knew deep down inside her son's autism was hard for her to cope with. It's heart breaking, but maybe someday doctors will find a way to end these terrible plagues.

A new friend on the web Vanessa just gave me some new information on the good Doctor Gupta. He used to be a singing teacher and scuba diving instructor. Read this article. It also talks about his time at the White House. When he was at the tender age of 27. Thank you Vanessa from all the Gupta lov'in girls.

A Real Life Hero

Ann: Dr. Sanjay Gupta.... I wish I had this man's job, skills, talent, and brainpower. Maybe it's that he's a beautiful exotic Indian young man, that could be why I idolize him, but it could also be his work he did during the war with Iraq that supports a lot of the theories that I feel are true. Such as we shouldn't have bombed those poor people. I didn't like seeing children with their faces blown off in his CNN documentary on the Devil Docs. Every time someone tells me that war was the right thing to do, I think back to the kids with missing body parts and faces and say no war was never the right thing to do.

The Pinkpanther Comment

I just have a comment on Sanjay I'd like to share. I'm a 28 year old beautiful girl that should be out there enjoying life, but instead I've been literally housebound for the last two years with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. If I didn't have the famous Gupta smile to wake up to each day, I would have lost my mind by now. He helps me to see the light at the end of the tunnel, even on my darkest days. He reminds me that there is a wonderful life out there waiting for me when I get well, that great guys still exist, and that one day I'll rise up from this madness. Most people probably look at Sanjay and just see a hot guy. For me, I see so much more. He's the best medicine I could have ever asked for, the greatest gift I've ever been given. Sanjay, you are a blessing in more ways than you'll ever know. Thank you forever and ever (;
